The Swarm War is basically, an idea for a future campaign, building upon seeds given in the Buzzkin racial write-up & the character profile for Queen Amara of the Buzzkins.
The idea would be to slowly build up towards the campaign by revealing info in small doses. Maybe a party of adventurers encounters a Buzzkin warrior expedition in one module... or maybe having a Buzzkin npc figure into an early module adventure in a minor fashion... or a group of adventureers in another module are forced to barter with a Buzzkin hive for an artifact of some sort... or rumors spread of the Buzzkin disappearance... while other rumors spread of a new warrior breed of Buzzkins... or maybe an early module might include a cameo of Queen amara during her gladiator days...
The campaign itself would then be Queen Amara's plan to increase the power and influence of her hive network across the entire world, taking revenge on the warring human tribes that preyed upon the Buzzkins and forced her to fight in the gladitorial pits... with the subplot of the Buzzkin's desperate race to discover a cure for the plague that is driving them into extinction by delving into the ruins of the long-dead wizards who originally created the Buzzkins and unearthing long-buried secrets concerning their origins...

I like the idea of this
I like the idea of this conflict growing into a united movement for beastfolk retribution, particularly agaisnt Sascria, but perhaps against Humans in general for hundreds of years of enslavement and fighting in the gladitorial pits. But Queen Amara and her hives provide the organization and communication network (being able to fly) that enables them to join with other beastfolk.
As part of the ongoing setting fiction, I think it would be cool if they straight up conquer a whole region where beastfolk are common anyway. Then, the threat becomes Queen Amara and her staunchest supporters becoming more and more like Sascria in it's heyday every day. They could take their own Human slaves, have them fight in the arena, etc.
From just a simulationist point of view, this is interesting because I'm not aware of a fantasy D&D setting, apart from Dragonlance, where aerial warfare is a big component. I mean, you have a well-defended castle, right? Now what do you do when the invading army can just swarm over the walls without even slowing down? Or fly overhead and drop things down on you?
That being said, I also really see Buzzkin being well-suited to Alchemy.
