Bement was a small town in northeastern Sascria until the Collapse. The entire purpose of the town was a small prison that was used for beastfolk that had resisted the magical control of the School of Dominion's wizards. Because it could potentially reflect poorly on Sascria to have such a prison within its lands, it's existence was intended to be kept secret.

The prison itself is built on a pillar of sandstone that was dug out using hundreds of Stone Shapes which made it almost impossible for inmates to escape without being spotted. After being abandoned, some beastfolk began to use it to imprison humans or other indviduals they wanted to ransom or trade to nefarious forces.
