Ryslan

          Ryslan, the island due south of the western peninsula of Ferron, is home to the Catfolk – specifically the Pantheria created by a guild of Ferronian magocrats, the Academy of Metamorphoses. The island was owned by the head of the guild. Since Beastfolk have had a bad reputation in Ferron for quite some time, the Ferronian magocrats moved their creations to a location that, at the time, was a secure location for the Pantheria. Since the Collapse, however, the tropical island home to the Pantheria – who were created as thieves and assassins – has been left alone, since the now feral Pantheria living there attack visitors on sight, with the exception of other Beastfolk. The island is almost entirely covered by a tropical forest, except for the ring of rocky beach surrounding the forest. The island has plentiful wildlife, despite the fact that the Pantheria have been hunting on there for generations. Since the time of the collapse, smaller groups of other Catfolk breeds have moved to the island, and formed tribes there, so it is now shared by three or four smaller tribes, as well as the larger tribe of Pantheria.
