The Advanced Player's Guide offered some alternatives to the core classes. One of those was something that I thought went well with the Dark Golden Age. It is a Ranger option called the Skirmisher. Instead of spells, a Skirmisher learns ranger tricks that are a little like rogue tricks. Since they do not possess magical ability, Skirmishers were the only type of ranger that existed before the Collapse. The divine magic that core rangers receive did not come into existence until after the Collapse.

I think that in the DGA, this is clearly the default Ranger. Is there something similar for Paladins?
Yes for paladins
I was hoping Paladins and Bards would have something. It took a second read for me to find the Paladin one - Warrior of the Holy Light. I'll add that shortly as well.
Bards
If there isn't one for Bards, let's make one that is DGA-specific, since their spells are only sort-of-arcane, mixed with some divine. What I would do is just give them a new kind of bardic music every level rather than spellcasting, and possibly lore-based abilities as well...maybe using their lore to grant bonuses to allies when fighting specific creatures (which would also shine in the DGA where there are monsters all over the place)
Their spell list is already
Their spell list is already pretty short, and it's really Cure X Wounds that I'd like to do something about. Perhaps we can simply replace it.
Maybe just add Spell Focus:
Maybe just add Spell Focus: Enchantment or Illusion? I'll give some thought to an appropriate replacement, given that healing is a big deal - but I definitely agree that magical healing should have been unheard-of until the Collapse.
