The Glorious Society of Progenitors

Sascrian Experimentation

More than a thousand years ago, the Wizards of the School of Metamorphosis set out to magically create the perfect slaves.  They decided that, rather than simply enslaving other humans on a massive scale, they would combine humans with animals, selecting for useful traits in each 'breed' or line of what would become beastfolk.

Manipulation on this scale was, at the time, unprecedented, and early experiments resulted in abominations that were either experimented upon further or simply euthanized.

Sascrian Highway System

In the decades before the Collapse, Sascria established a network of magical roads. The blood of pegasi was added to a loose mixture of ground stone. This mixture was spread along the path of the highway with wizards using Fabricate to form the mixture into a smooth surface. The pegasi blood enabled enchantments that effectively allowed travelers to float a few inches above the surface.

Bal'dawir

The ruins of Bal'dawir in the mountains of northeastern Sascrian represent one of the signs of what was before the Collapse. Bal'dawir was buitl on a moutain peak to visually watch over Tesaya and Marve. Magic enhanced the visual sighting methods available, and the position of the fortress enabled magic limited to lines of sight to reach great distances. In addition to being a watchpost, the fortress also served as a stopping point for raiders and others working for the Sascrian magocracy to deliver their acquisitions.

 I have placed the map of Sascria before you. I plan to delve into the dungeon and create an artistic rendering of the work that we have in progress. I will make some comments in that section also. I want to got you guys to do a couple of things.

Arctoria the Frozen North

20 miles north of the nation of Rhyrjia lies the cold northern wastes known as Arctoria. Home to dragons, beast-folk, frost giants, and other creatures the land is a region of dangerous monsters and heroes of legend. Prior to the Collapse this area held an outpost for the Sascrian magocracy who through a series of arcane web ways managed to secretly supply and arm with troops an isolated outpost for a possible invasion and exploration of the frozen north.

Library of Yemuria

While this library is believed to be located in modern Venna, it could potentially be located in any other place that a GM deems fit.  This is particularly rue because of the fact that the Library, once connected by teleportation circles, is scattered throughout the known world.

When I was creating some of the preliminary Sascrian names, I used a system like this: a German first name with a romance language inspired last name but anglicized. Think Willem Analore or Ulla Tuscador.
